For the children and adolescents, the highlight of the school year was the school camp organized by the Foundation at the beginning of July at Castillo de Amaguaña. Three educators and four volunteers accompanied and supervised 39 children and adolescents.


This year, many pandemic restrictions were lifted. Fortunately, we were able to resume and also further expand our holistic offers for children and young people in the neighborhood. You can find more about our actions in the interesting annual report.

Radiating happiness: We continue with the hard work of accompanying children and adolescents in a healthy and carefree environment, with the new provisions of the government (eliminating the mandatory use of masks) there is evidence of a radical change in the day to day life within the foundation; we can all express again the feelings and gestures of joy, sadness and peace.

Hello! My name is Nayely Armijos. I’m studying organizational communication and public relations at the USFQ. This summer, I took part in the holiday program RanPiSur. Without any doubt, this was the best experience for me.


In the first week of August, a training course for teens from the district started. Its goal was to teach them the necessary skills for the holiday program. It was led by professionals that passed on their knowledge to the teens to enable them to work with the children and to improve their own every day live.

So much joy! By the end of July, the whole team of the Fundacion Minadores de Sueños was cheering since we had achieved the goals we had set for the school year 2021-2022. We therefore would like to share our happiness with everyone. It was a very special year.

In the beginning of the term, we started with virtual teaching. All the kids and teenagers subscribed at the Fundacion had the great opportunity to take part in the classes in our own rooms. This was a solid basis that made us optimistic. The children all got a personal education, following the syllabus, and considering their individual abilities and needs. All of them have ended the year successfully.
